Teri and Eric Get Engaged!

April 28, 2009 – Venice, Italy

Despite the threat of ominous rainclouds, Teri and Eric board a Gondola on their first night in the city of Venice. They find a friendly Gondalier and begin their journey in Venice’s Grand Canal near the Rialto Bridge.

They turned into a smaller side canal and snapped this shot a few moments before the proposal.

Though Teri was taken completely unawares by the sudden one-knee balancing act, she gave a happy and teary “yes!” to Eric’s suave proposal.  (After three attempts, this was still the best shot of the ring—we assure you, it’s beautiful!)

The newly-engaged couple enjoyed the romance of the moment as they approached the Rialto Bridge at dusk.

At the end of one journey…and the beginning of another!
